Network Services
Much like our computer services ITG can assist you in ensuring that your existing network equipment and services are operating at peak performance and working for you.Network Security is a high level concern for most businesses.
Is your network security devices adequate to prevent attacks?
Do you have firewalls and other devices up and protecting you?
Data Backup Is your critical data being backed up on a regular basis? Is the backed up data safe?
Do you have an "Off Site" data storage option?
If you have concerns about being able to restore data when disasters happen, ITG can assists you in ensuring that when things happen, you will be able to recover from the disasters and continue on with business as usual.
We can assist you in installing and maintain systems and equipment to ensure that your data is protected from attack and disasters.
Does the loss of the Internet connection effect your business?
Back up connections to the Internet
What happens to your business when the Internet connection goes down?
Can you process customer / client transactions?
Does your Credit Card system stop dead in it's tracks?
Do you have remote locations that depend on the Internet to connect to the home office and or each other?
ITG can help you determine the need and install the necessary equipment to provide backup connections for when the primary connection fails.
Network Equipment Failure!Nothing lasts forever. Most equipment manufactures provide a "Mean Time Between Failure" (MTBF) which is a technical term that list the average time that a piece of equipment will work before it fails.
What does this all mean? Failures will happen, is your business prepaired for this?
Do you have a source of expedited replacement of critical components in your network?
Does your IT department have spare parts to install when your equipment fails?
Can your network components sense a failure or pending failure and switch over to installed back up equipment instantly?
If a critical component in your network fails does your entire network go down?
What are the weak links in your network?
Is critical equipment necessary to ensure your network remains on line and running easily replaced?
What is the expected down time if something should fail?
How long does it take to locate and ship in a replacement part or component?
Does your IT department have spare parts on hand?
These are questions that need to be asked when designing and maintaining your network.
Redundant Network SystemsTo keep your network on line and running when a critical component fails, you should have redundant network components installed. These are components or systems that are in a standby mode and can instantly take over in the event of a critical component failure within your network. The network itself can sense a condition and switch the network traffic from the failed part and direct it through the backup parts. The system can notify the IT department of the failure when it happens and may be able to alert the IT department on pending failures.
Network Physical ProtectionMuch effort goes into designing equipment and networks with increased speed, bandwidth, information security, and other factors, but all this effort can be destroyed in a fraction of a second if the physical parts of your network are not protected.
Protected from what? Telephone systems, data networks, computers and other electronic equipment damaged each year by lightning strikes and power surges and power outages.
Other factors contributing to these failures are improper electrical grounding, protection from the elements such as humidity, heat, contaminants.
Protecting your vital resources with the properly installed protective devices can go a long way in protecting your IT equipment investment.
ITG installs protective devices on all the equipment that we install. It is part of our value added program and is part of the entire network design and installation plan.
We can do a risk analysis on your network resources and determine the vulnerability of the components and the level of protection they have and or need.
